Cherry Bombré Is The Fall Hair Color Every Brunette Will Want to Try

Cherry Bombré Is The Fall Hair Color Every Brunette Will Want to Try

No, the cherry bombré isn’t a fruity soda you should be sipping. It’s a new hair color technique that looks best on women with naturally brunette strands. Celebrity colorist, Beth Minardi, who has done color on stars like Kirsten Dunst, Julianne Moore, and Uma Thurman, coined the term to refer to her custom mix of cherry bomb and ombré.

The resulting hue is a vibrant crimson that still has remnants of brown near the roots. Just like the ever-popular ombré technique it's easy to pull off (and grow out) without scheduling monthly appointments with your colorist. The deep shades of red can be applied using a balayage technique that concentrates the color more toward the ends of the hair, giving the look more dimension. The good news: cherry bombré requires minimal dye (even on dark hair), so your strands won't feel fried after the processing. Here are some photos to share with your colorist before your fall hair appointment.
