It can be very difficult to choose a haircut for yourself or your little girl. You need pictures!

I have created a photo gallery of haircuts for girls with short, medium and long hair of all ages. Don't make the mistake of going into a salon and trying to choose a haircut while you're sitting in the chair.

A trip to the salon without a little research can be disastrous. I hope I can give you some cool ideas for your next haircut. Don't worry if something goes wrong and you are not completely satisfied with your new hairdo, each photo links to an already styled and cut girl's wig.

A classic little girl's haircut never goes out of style. Remember to keep it cute, simple and fun when it comes to choosing one for your little girl. You don't want a style that will overpower her little face or be difficult to style.

Here are a few examples of some really easy styles that look great on little girls. The bob is one of my favorites I think it looks good on almost any girl and it's perfect for a first haircut.

Your little girl can still enjoy beautiful headbands, barrettes and bows without having to spend too much time sitting in a chair getting her hair combed.

How to Choose The Right Haircut

Are you having a difficult time choosing the best hair cut for your little girl? Here are a few things to consider before making your decision.

1. How much time does she have to get read for school in the morning? Does she need to cut back her grooming time in the morning?

2. Does your little girl do a lot of physical activities that require her to keep her hair up in a ponytail or braids?

3. Would she like a wash and go style or does she prefer you to take the time to try different hairstyles.

4. Would she prefer to keep her current hairstyle but maybe she needs a few layers or bangs to add shape, texture and movement to her hairstyle

You also want to consider the shape and bone structure of your little girl's face. Here a few virtual makeover websites to help you choose the best haircuts for your little girl. Simply upload a picture of your daughter's face and have fun trying new haircuts and hairstyles without leaving the comforts of your home, spending a dime or cutting a lock of hair.

Don't forget to upload a photo of mom while you're spending quality time with your daughter

These are some tips that should be considered by girls of all ages

The Virtual makeovers work best if you use a picture with your hair up in a bun so that you can try both long and short haircuts.

Do You Need Some Inspiration

Here is an example of how the virtual makeover looks with an uploaded photo of me. You can see in the picture that it would be easier to visualize my new virtual haircut if I had my hair pulled up in a bun. I still love the new look.

My New Look

I wanted to share with you my new haircut. I have always had very long hair so I browsed a lot of photos before making the decision to cut it.

I decided on a short style with different length layers at the crown of my head because I have very thin hair. I wanted a cut that would give me volume and be easy to style.

The whole experience has been really refreshing. I finally made the decision once I realized that I had been wearing a ponytail or a bun for nearly a decade. It was time to spruce myself up and try something new. I couldn't be happier.

I cut my hair myself after watching a few YouTube videos. It makes for an interesting story but I wouldn't recommend it. I suggest printing out a picture you like and taking it to a professional.

My Journey to a Modern Hairstyle

What is your definition of a modern hairstyle? I have been working really hard to get my body back in shape. I've had three babies in the past four years s...

Simple Haircut for School Girls

It can be difficult to choose the right haircut for school. I caution you about trying new trends and following some of the hottest celebrity haircuts. Sometimes they look better on TV and magazines. Remember to keep in mind that you want your haircut to look great from all sides.

Short Bob

Are you a girl that has had long hair all of her life. Do you want to cut it but don't want a style that is too edgy or dramatic. A bob is simple, classic and easy to maintain.

This is a very versatile cut. It is one that you are seeing more and more on the runways and red carpets. I had my hair cut straight across with blunt bangs when I was twelve years old. It's definitely not a look I want in my 30's so I can understand if you are a bit hesitant.

Do your homework, find a style that you love and a hairstylist you can trust! Give this hairstyle another chance. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I recommend you try an A-line, layered or a messy bob for a more sophisticated look.

A new haircut or hairstyle can give you a sense of empowerment and independence. It is something that you control.

A short haircut is great to show off your beautiful bone structure and a flawless complexion. It shows a girl with confidence. You can choose a haircut that will softly frame your face or an edgy razor cut style that will show off your wild side.

Some of these shorter styles are also great for little girls. A wash and go hairstyle can really cut down on morning routines. You won't need to fuss with tangles or little rubber bands in the morning. Your daughter will simply need a little brush and maybe a small amount of styling product to get out the door and off to school.

A nice haircut is the perfect accessory to any outfit. Your hair is the finishing touch after slipping into something that makes you feel good.

I Have a New Style Now What

The Best Hairtools

It never fails. You take a clipping of your favorite celebrity to your hairstyles and sit down to watch her create a masterpiece. Your carefully observe and memorize the styling tools and products she is using on your hair. You look in the mirror at the reflection you have always wanted, perfect!

You wake up the next day ready to show the world the new you. What happens next? You cannot figure out how to style your new haircut.

It looks nothing like it did when you were sitting at the salon yesterday.

Styling tools can seem very complicated. Flat irons are not all created equal. Ask your hairstylist to help you choose the proper size, shape and brand to create the look you are trying to achieve.

Do you feel like your long hair is flat and lifeless? Long layers can provide fullness and shape to thin, limp hair. Choose a haircut that you can still put up in a ponytail or bun.

Can you really live with short layers that can't be combed up when you are out for a jog or cleaning your room?

You want a hairstyle that will look great without a lot of maintenance. It's fun to try new styles but sometimes you need to run out the door and still look polished.
