The Twist and Pin with Christina of Hair Romance

The Twist and Pin with Christina of Hair Romance

Our first guest for Hair Week is the beautiful Christina from Hair Romance. She is from Sydney, Australia. She says, "I met my husband and my hairdresser in the same street and there began my two romances." She has beautiful ideas and recently released an ebook that you'll hear a little more about below. Welcome Christina!

Hello! I'm Christina and a haircut changed my life. I blog at Hair Romance about all things hair. I believe your hair is your best accessory, and Hair Romance is all about loving your hair and having fun with it. I love styling hair and I was so happy when Cheri asked me to guest post during hair week.

Today I'll be sharing my signature hairstyle “ The Twist and Pin" and I have a special giveaway for I Am Momma Hear Me Roar readers.

The Twist and Pin is my most versatile hairstyle. It's great for both short and long hair. It's so easy in wet hair and perfect for second day hair too. The best bit is it only takes two minutes to do! Add to that the time saved washing your hair and now you know why this is one of my favourite hairstyles.

This is the first video I have ever made and I have no idea what I'm doing so please be kind! I took my camera and my tripod out on Friday and the weather was perfect. I didn't take a mirror with me however, so my hair isn't perfect. I've definitely gone for a messy Twist and Pin, but with more pins you can achieve a really neat finish.

I hope you can see it really is as simple as Twist and Pin! Here are some of my tips for creating this hairstyle:

- Use good hair pins. Stronger pins make all the difference.

- It's best in wet hair or hair that's a little dirty as it has more texture and holds the style better. If your hair is clean or too soft you can use a sea salt spray or volumising powder before you start. Hairspray will add texture and hold too.

- I weave the bobby pins through each twist so they catch the hair underneath. You can also use pins through two twists to anchor them together for a stronger hold.

the GIVEAWAY!!!

This hairstyle is actually Day 29 of my 30 Days of Twist and Pin Hairstyles ebook. In May I set myself a challenge of creating 30 different styles using the Twist and Pin. It went so well I created 31 hairstyles and have now released them in an ebook so you can create these styles at home too.

The Hair Romance 30 Days of Twist and Pin hairstyles ebook is over 75 pages long and has instructions on how to create all the 30 days of hairstyles and includes bonus hairstyles too. It's full of hairspiration and tips and tricks for styling your hair at home.

I'm giving away a copy of my ebook and for your chance to win all you need to do is leave a comment below. I'd love to hear any feedback you have on my first video or head over to Hair Romance and tell me which of the 30 days is your favourite style.

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED.
